Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop: DCA EMH!

Welcome to another Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop hosted by forthright Focused on the Magic.

I was right in the front of the line for DCA Extra Magic Hours.  I had woken up at the CRACK OF DAWN in LA, driven to Anaheim, quickly checked in and dropped my bags in my room, and headed straight over.

I knew I'd have to get there early to hit Radiator Springs Racers in the new Carsland before the line got horrendously long.  We here at the NPAAAH blog do not do long waits in queues (although to be fair, I DID wait in the plaza for EMH to begin).

I'll talk about RSR in a future post, but for now, I'm sharing these shots I took through the gates of an empty DCA one early March morning.

Look at these suckers behind me.  First in line baby!

Wordless Wednesday: DCA Trolley Treats Marshmallows!

Welcome to another Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop hosted by fabled Focused on the Magic.

Whilst exploring DCA last March, I knew I wanted to pick up one of each of the flavored marshmallows sold at Trolley Treats.  I forget how much they cost but they come in packs of two.  Each marshmallow is about the size of a matchbook I'd say.  But thicker, as you'll see.

The lemon flavor was surprisingly light.  I wasn't expecting to like it but I did.

I thought the watermelon flavor would be a top-ranked flavor for me.  It was nasty.  I didn't finish it.  The flavor was weirdly off putting and the chips didn't match with the "fruity" flavor.

I didn't care for the texture of the nuts on the "Nutmallow" flavor - but it was still an improvement over the watermelon.

"Chocolate Monster" was sweet and chocolatey.  Classic.

The BEST, however, was chocolate peanut butter.  Yummy and pretty to look at.  Mmmmmmm!

Disney Blog Idea - someone please do this

What I'd really like is a blog that posts all the menus of all the Disney restaurants (I'll accept WDW but would prefer an option to pick DL).

Then you can click on various menu options and your selection(s) will be placed on your order.

Once complete, the website will calculate your total order.

You should also be able to save your past orders and calculate an entire day's food expenses (including snacks).

Someone please get on this immediately.

Thankssssss!!!!

Wordless Wednesday "Limited Time Magic"

Welcome to this week's Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop hosted by the fairest Focused on the Magic!

I went to Disneyland in early March of this year.  This was their "Limited Time Magic" offering: a new makeup line and two measley displays of props from the new (at the time) Oz movie in Downtown Disney.  Not so "magical" if you ask me.  Color me disappointed.  #Lame

Wordless Wednesday: Disneyland Hotel Room

Welcome to this week's Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop hosted by the fearsome Focused on the Magic!

This week I have some shots of my Disneyland hotel room (2048 Adventure Tower) from my stay there in early March 2013.
I love that the headboard lights up and plays "When You Wish Upon a Star."

I ALSO love the new decor - it's clean, sophisticated and modern . . . with a Disney touch.  That's exactly my style!

Wordless Wednesday - Vintage Character Meal

Welcome to this week's Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop hosted by the fearless Focused on the Magic!

This week it's a hug from Chip at a character breakfast in the Polynesian's old (pre-Ohana) restaurant.  I think this from around 1984.  If anyone can narrow it down better based on the picture, let me know!

Otherwise, please hop to the next stop!

Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop - Dreamfinder!!

Welcome to this week's Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop hosted by the fearless Focused on the Magic

Here is a pic of a little girl with the Dreamfinder and Figment - probably 1988 but maybe 1989.  That was one of my favorite rides growing up and I miss the old version so much! I wish I could remember more of it.

Wordless Wednesday - Vintage Interior of The Adventurers' Club

Here's an old shot of the Adventurers' Club.  I think it's from 1990 or 1999?  Can someone comment on when the club closed?  That may resolve my question.  Thanks!!!  And thanks for stopping by!

Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop!!!

Here is a shot of a Small World scene.  It's either from 1987, 1990, or 1999.  Either way it's definitely old and definitely still looks pretty much the same no?

Man, I'm Old Wordless Wednesday

Welcome to another Wordless Wednesday!

Here is a shot of a pirate ship from 1999.  It kinds of reminds me of Disneyland but I didn't go to California until 2010.  Can anyone identify where and what this is in the comments?

UPDATE: Thanks to my genius readers, we believe the ship is from Disneyland Paris.  I did go there once and it might even have been in 1999.  Here are some other shots from that trip. Thanks for your sleuthing expertise guys!!!

Palo Review Part III - Disney Magic NYC Weekend Cruise June 2012

Do I even need to tell you which dessert I ordered?  OBVIOUSLY I had to go with Palo's famous chocolate souffle!!  It comes perfectly puffed with high quality vanilla bean ice cream and thick chocolate and vanilla sauces

First you break the puff, then you pour the thick, rich chocolate sauce in to try it with just the chocolate sauce.

After you come down from heaven, you add in the vanilla sauce for another try.  You die a little in perfect happiness with each bite.

Once that's done, you eat the vanilla ice cream drizzled in whatever sauces remain, and then you use a spoon to finish out the sauces straight up.  If you don't do this, you have failed as a diner.

We were also celebrating my dad's birthday so he got this fun little surprise:

All in all, Palo was a GREAT dinner and the only meal on our cruise that surpassed the "just barely edible" level.  And surpassed it, it did!  I am so glad we got to try it.
