Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop: Test Track Evac Part 3

Welcome to this week's Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop hosted by the factual Focused on the Magic!  I'm continuing my recap of my trip from September 2013.  You can find the earlier posts here and here and here and here and here!

Continuing the shots I took during the evacuation of Test Track:

View from behind the fake trees at the last top curve before you almost hit the truck (we were walking backwards down the curvy hill, so if you're going up the hill in the car, this would be what you saw if you leaned over the railings on your left - do NOT do that though!).

Other cars waiting for us to pick them up on the way (my car was stopped almost right before you go outside so we were one of the first to be picked up and had the longest walk).

We walked in a single file down the curves.

Favorite Food Friday: Mickey Pop

Welcome to another Favorite Food Friday hosted by the daffy Disney Day by Day!

I don't know if you guys have noticed, but I LOVE cake.  So naturally when Disney introduced cake pops to their bakery repertoire, I had to try them!  I got this sucker at Big Top Treats in Storybook Circus.  Here we have a chocolate cake pop but they're also available in yellow cake/vanilla and red velvet.

The cake used for cake pops are typically fudgier than regular cake - they may taste undercooked but they're really good!!  I enjoyed this one and can't wait to try the other flavors.  The marshmallow ears were a cute touch too.

Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop: Test Track Evac Part 2!

Welcome to this week's Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop hosted by the fly Focused on the Magic!  I'm continuing my recap of my trip from September 2013.  You can find the earlier posts here and here and here and here.

This week's theme for WWBH is "A Different Perspective" and I am definitely getting a new look at a Disney World attraction here!

As you may recall, when last we left this trip report, I was getting evac'd off Test Track. After a long wait stuck in the vehicle with a cute but VERY chatty 6 year old and his non-responsive dad, we finally were rescued by cast members and began the long trek back to the exit.  On the way, I took the liberty of getting some shots of the ride close up and with the lights on.

Favorite Food Friday: Main Street Bakery Cinnamon Roll

Welcome to another Favorite Food Friday hosted by the duplicitous Disney Day by Day!

This was my first and only time trying a cinnamon roll from Main Street Bakery and I'm SO glad I got a chance to taste it before it went away (I maintain that the rolls at Gaston Tavern are NOT the same - I mean, just compare the frosting....)

Ooey gooey goodness....

Just the right amount of frosting......

And now we bring my trip recap to a close.  We came across this sign on our last day.  What a shame!  The gym is closed!  So sad..... ;)

Favorite Food Friday: Food and Wine 2012 Japan Booth!

Welcome to another Favorite Food Friday hosted by the dutiful Disney Day by Day!

Guys, I think this is our last booth!  Japan!  I immediately skipped the California roll that I can easily get at my supermarket.  I think I skipped the spicy tuna and salmon hand roll for the same reason.

But I DID try the Karaage Hand Roll (Crispy Chicken Breast with Sushi Rice and Spicy Mayonnaise) - it was fine.  A little weird to have fried chicken wrapped in rice. Could have used more sauce (or one for dipping?).

And the Sukiyaki Beef Pan (Marinated Thinly Sliced Rib Eye with Sauteed Onions and Teriyaki Sauce Served in a Bun).  This needed either more beef or a smaller bun, but was otherwise tasty and well-flavored.

Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop: Illuminations from afar!

Welcome to this week's Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop hosted by the friendly Focused on the Magic!  I'm continuing my recap of my mother/sister October 2012 trip.  You can find earlier posts here and here and here and here and here and here and here and here and here!

I'm not that far off from this week's theme for once!  I feel like Deb's photo of Illuminations is just a LEETLE better than mine lol ;)

We're almost coming to the end of my recap of my mother/sister October 2012 trip.  As you know, we were staying at the Yacht Club concierge level.  We were pleasantly surprised to find that we had a view of Illuminations from our balcony!
